Special Events

Where can you eat prime rib, learn how to make truffles, build your own sundae, decorate a gingerbread house and win fantastic prizes? Look no further than your closest Virginia Tech dining center.

In addition to the best food in Blacksburg, there is always something fun and exciting happening. Each week throughout the semester our staff dons their creative caps to provide first-rate special events in the dining centers. This year more than 40 special events are planned, including Sundae Extravaganza, Carnivale at Shultz, Deet's Place Coffee College, Celebrando Communidad con una fiesta en el mercado at Owens, Chili Challenge, and Breakfast at Brennan's at D2, just to name a few. Students also have the opportunity to win vendor-sponsored prizes such as bikes, Virginia Tech memorabilia, trips, and other giveaways during many of these events.
