Welcome to Virginia Tech, home of one of the best college dining programs in the United States! Virginia Tech Housing and Dining Services is proud to present you with this guide covering everything you need to know about dining on campus. In this guide, you will find information about our 11 distinctive restaurants, our flexible dining plans, and our policies and services.

The Virginia Tech dining program was recently recognized with the prestigious Ivy Award from Restaurants & Institutions Magazine and was ranked No. 1 for "Best Campus Food" by The Princeton Review in “The Best 367 Colleges, 2008.” We have a longstanding tradition of awards and recognition, including 29 Loyal E. Horton Dining Awards since 1992 from the National Association of College and University Food Services, as well as numerous awards for individual restaurants and staff members. Virginia Tech Housing and Dining Services is considered one of the most innovative dining programs in the nation, attracting more than 50 visits from universities and contract food service companies in the last five years. Our national and international brand outlets, which include Chick-fil-A®, Au Bon Pain®, Pizza Hut®, Sbarro®, Carvel® and Cinnabon®, have some of the highest sales volumes for the college market.

You will find an extensive selection of menu items at Virginia Tech, including vegetarian, vegan, and kosher offerings; D2, our newest all-you-care-to-eat restaurant, even features an outlet devoted exclusively to vegan and vegetarian foods. Also, the dining venues hold more than 40 special events and theme meals throughout the year. You can learn to make Grand Marnier chocolate truffles from our executive chefs, enjoy one of our fabulous special event meals, or compete with friends at the annual Chili Challenge. There is an exciting new dining experience offered almost every week.
