Dining Services100% Satisfaction GuaranteedWe want your dining experience to be great, so we give you our 100 percent satisfaction guarantee. If you need anything, just ask a manager or fill out our Online Comment Card and give us a chance to make good on our commitment. That's how serious we are about your satisfaction—we make it 100 percent guaranteed. Are You Eating Smarter?Student Programs wants you to have a balanced diet. That's why we developed the You're Eating Smarter (Y.E.S.) nutrition education program. Coordinated by Housing and Dining Services' registered dietitian, it is designed to give students the nutritional information needed to make healthy eating decisions. The program includes personal counseling, residence hall programs, a website, published educational information, and fun programs in the dining centers that give students the opportunity to learn about nutrition in a fun but informative atmosphere. Online nutritional analysis is available for virtually every menu item (just select the apple icon at the top of the menu). For more information about nutrition in our dining centers, check out the Y.E.S. website or e-mail questions to our registered dietitian at yes@vt.edu. Sick MealsStudents who are sick or unable to visit a dining facility because of a temporary physical disability (e.g., broken leg or back injury) can make special meal arrangements. For more information, visit our dining policies page. Family Flex BonusIf your family or friends from out of town come to campus to visit you for the weekend, why not treat them to a meal in one of our signature, award-winning dining centers, on us? For our student dining plan holders, we have placed $6.75 in Flex dollars in a separate account on your Hokie Passport card just for those occasions: the Family Flex Bonus. You can use this Family Flex Bonus during the Fall or Spring semester on Fridays, Saturdays, or Sundays at D2, Owens Food Court, or West End Market. At Owens Food Court and West End Market, your purchasing power is doubled: you will receive a 50 percent discount on your meal using your Family Flex Bonus, just like your regular Flex Dollars do. This means you could spend up to $13.50 at those dining centers. At D2, your Family Flex Bonus will save you at least 67 percent off of the cash door price, providing you with two all-you-care-to-eat dinner meals. Remember, the Family Flex Bonus is to be used for your family or guests from out of town—it is not intended to substitute for your own meals and will not be accepted for such. The Family Flex Bonus is only available to you for the current academic year, fall and spring, and does not roll forward to the following semesters.
