Summer Dining PlansAll on-campus residents attending summer sessions must have a Summer Flex Plan or a 19 Meals Plan. Major and Minor Flex Plans are not available during the summer sessions due to abbreviated semesters. Summer Flex PlanThe Summer Flex dining plan is similar to the Flex Plans offered during the regular academic year. The Summer Flex Plan is designed for students who eat meals during nontraditional hours, like to snack, eat more than three meals per day, or prefer our à la carte dining centers. It operates as a debit card account with which you have a designated amount of Flex Dollars to spend per semester. Your Flex Dollars can be accessed using your Hokie Passport ID card when you purchase food and beverages in Student Programs dining centers. Each time you access your Flex account, it will be debited for the amount of your purchase and the remaining balance will appear on your receipt. Summer Flex Plans are only offered to Virginia Tech students enrolled in at least one of the full six-week summer sessions. How much does the Summer Flex Plan cost? Summer 7 and 19 Meals Dining PlansWith a Meals Plan, you receive a designated number of meals per week throughout the six-week summer session. When you use your dining plan in an all-you-care-to-eat dining center, one meal is subtracted from your total weekly meal allotment. Simply walk in, let our friendly staff scan your Hokie Passport ID card, and eat all you like. These plans give you great value and allow you to choose daily between many options. On-campus summer residents must have a Summer Flex Plan or a 19 Meals dining plan. Off-campus students can also choose from these two plans, or select the 7 Meals dining plan.
