The Interview Process

Interview Date Options

Friday, December 4 (3 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.) and Saturday December 5, 2009 (8a.m.- 5:00 p.m.) is the interview weekend for those applicants interested in employment for Spring Semester 2010 and those applicants who are interested in employment during the next academic year (2010-2011) who will not be here on campus in the coming spring semester. Check Fall interview on the application. This might go in the FAQ as well but put a note that says if you miss one of the interviews, you may not reschedule.

Friday, February 19 (3-9 p.m.) and Saturday, February 20, 2010 (8:45 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.), is the interview weekend for all other applicants.

Interview Format

The interview consists of two different interviews, both an individual and group interview, scheduled over two interview days. Both portions are required to complete the interview phase.  Should you be offered an interview, you will be able to select your interview times.

Individual Interview
A follow up to your application materials conducted by a two-person team of current Residence Life staff members. This is your opportunity to highlight your interest and qualifications for the RA position. If selected as a Theme Housing candidate, additional questions may be included in your individual interviews.

Group Process Interview
A series of activities done by a group of six to eight RA applicants and observed by current Residence Life staff members. The activities are designed to provide opportunities to demonstrate teamwork, leadership, creativity, communication, and other important skills.
