Welcome to the start of the Resident Advisor (RA) application process.

On behalf of the RA Selection Committee, we want to thank you for your interest in joining the Resident Advisor team and becoming a part of Residence Life and Student Programs.

Resident Advisors do indeed play a vital role within the residence halls and they are integral in developing a positive and supportive community for all residents.

Being an RA is an opportunity of a lifetime and we encourage you to apply. It is a unique position that will challenge, inspire and motivate you. It also provides financial support for the present and valuable skills and work experience for the future.

There are two different types of available Resident Advisor positions; the traditional RA position and the Theme Housing RA position. All RAs have common or "traditional" job responsibilities. In addition the Theme Housing RAs work on floors/sections designed around particular interests such as wellness, leadership or the freshman year experience. The application and hiring process for each type of position is the same. If you are interested in a Theme Housing Position, please indicate so on your application and additional questions will be emailed to you upon receipt. Be sure to complete the theme essay questions in order for your application to be complete.

In addition to the Resident Advisor positions, there are also Graduate Fellow positions available. The Graduate Fellows work within the Graduate Life Center and is responsible for both traditional RA responsibilities in the GLC as well as specialized program activities for the graduate student population.
