New Hall West

This new facility, completed in August 2009, is located on West Campus Drive between the Smith Career Center and Harper Hall. There are four floors, the first dedicated to Student Programs administrative office space and the top three for residential apartments. The basement houses a resident advisor’s apartment, a Dining Services test kitchen and training room, and a laundry and vending facility for residents.

The residential area features 133 large double-occupancy rooms with private bathrooms. The building is climate-controlled and reserved for upperclassmen. The rooms are carpeted, with ceramic tile floors and granite countertops in the bathrooms.

This building and all new construction projects in Student Programs’ current master building plan are designed with sustainability in mind and meet requirements for U.S. Green Building Council LEED silver certification.
