Your Housing/Dining ContractVirginia Tech seeks to provide housing and dining services for students at the lowest possible rate. For this reason, the University must operate the residence halls on a contract basis for the full academic year. Each student who resides on campus is required to sign a Housing/Dining Contract prior to assignment. Students are responsible for familiarizing themselves with the terms and conditions of the contract. When the contract is signed and returned, it becomes a binding agreement - a legal contract - between the student and the University. Students may choose to submit their contract via the traditional paper version, or they may submit their contract electronically using the Hokie SPA website. Incoming freshmen are guaranteed on-campus housing for their first year at Virginia Tech under the Freshmen Residency Requirement. On-campus residents (including new first-year/transfer students) will receive a Major Flex Plan automatically. If you wish to keep this meal plan, you do not have to do anything else.
