Summer Housing and Dining Information
Reservations
Students need not make reservations for summer school housing since we will offer housing on the check-in days listed; however, most students enjoy the convenience of using our Early Summer Sign-Up Program. The Early Sign-up will begin in early February 2010. Specific dates and deadlines will be announced in January 2010.
(Our office will continue to accept applications after that date, but students requesting to leave personal items in the residence halls during the spring to Summer I transition must adhere to this deadline. Students that apply after the deadline may not be charged for summer housing on their initial university summer bill.)
Spring to Summer I Transition
Students who sign up in advance for the first summer session may leave their belongings in their spring assignment. Those students will turn in their keys to their RA before they leave for the spring-to-summer break. Upon return, those students will pick-up their spring assignment key along with their summer assignment key during summer check-in on Sunday, May 23, 2010. In the past, students had to move during exams and commencement which created quite a bit of confusion. This process is easier on students and allows us to better clean the summer school buildings before students take occupancy.
If You Miss the Early Sign-up Deadline
Students who do not sign up in advance for housing will be assigned a room on the regular check-in days. These students may not store or leave belongings on campus during the spring-to-summer break. Students living on campus for second summer session only may not store or leave belongings on campus during the academic break spring and summer.
