Greek Council Holds Valentine’s Day Crush or Kissed Fundraiser

BLACKSBURG, VA., Feb. 8, 2006—Show your significant other (or your secret crush) how you feel this Valentine’s Day—send your sweetie some sweets! The United Council of Fraternities and Sororities is holding a Valentine’s Day Crush or Kissed Fundraiser. Members will be selling gift packages from 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. Feb. 14 at the kiosk on the first floor of Squires Student Center, across from the Black Cultural Center.

Choose to send someone a crush package, with a bottle of Orange Crush soft drink and Hershey’s Hugs, or a kiss package, with a can of Sunkist orange soft drink and Hershey’s Kisses. Both types of packages may include a personal message. UCFS members will either send an e-mail notifying your crush or kiss recipient of a package waiting at the kiosk in Squires or deliver the package to any location in Blacksburg. Prices are $2 for e-mail/pick-up and $3 for delivery.

UCFS is composed of eight fraternities and sororities. Chartered in fall of 2000, the council was established to unify the Greek organizations that have a religious, cultural, or service-related focus.
