Theme Housing Programs at Virginia TechCongratulations on your decision to apply for theme housing at Virginia Tech! Before applying, please review the information below to better understand the application process and avoid confusion as you submit your application. Our application system is web-based, which allows you to submit your application 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The application process has two parts. In the first part you will submit general information about yourself (name, sex, student ID, etc.). You will also select the programs you wish to apply for (you may apply for a maximum of two). Once you submit this information you should receive an e-mail within approximately 15 minutes. This e-mail will contain essay questions specific to the programs you indicated in the first part of your application. This e-mail will aslo include instructions on how to submit your essay responses. The e-mail address you include in the first part of your application must be entered accurately for the server to successfully send the e-mail of essay questions to you. Additionally, you should note that e-mail providers will often filter e-mail from our server into your junkmail or trash folder. Therefore, you should routinely check these folders once you complete and submit the first part of the application. If you do not receive the e-mail of essay questions, please contact Theme Housing Programs at themevt@vt.edu or 540-231-6205. Several of our programs require students to be accepted into a specific major. Please list only the major to which you have been accepted. If you have not yet been accepted to Virginia Tech at the time of your application, please list the major for which you have applied. Acceptance to a theme housing program is contingent upon your being accepted to Virginia Tech, and to the required major if you are applying to the Biological and Life Sciences Learning Community, Galileo, or Hypatia. Please review the frequently asked questions, which contain additional information concerning the application process for Theme Housing Programs.The RLC is no longer accepting applications. Hypatia and Galileo will not read applications submitted after 5pm on Friday, June 26th.
