You're Eating (and Living) Smarter
Virginia Tech Dining is doing its part to keep you and the planet healthy.
We’re making changes that will benefit you and minimize our impact on the environment by decreasing food processing needs and supporting organic and local growers. Here are some of the changes you’ll see:
More whole grains
More locally grown foods
New organic choices at Deet’s Place
Fewer trans fats
One component of the program gives students an opportunity to talk about their
nutritional needs directly with the Student Programs administrative dietitian,
Jenny Lindsey . One-on-one appointments may be scheduled with Jenny or for
individual questions at other times, you can e-mail Jenny at yes@vt.edu
.
